We would like to announce that the implementation schedule for the application work of the interface specification for PNT service of the 5th edition (IS-QZSS-PNT-005), which was published on October 25, 2022, has been determined. In addition, as a result of this work, the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF) referred to in PNT service's reference coordinate system will be updated from ITRF2014 to ITRF2020.

Application work period: From 1 to 5 o’clock on November 10, 2023 (JST)
Satellites: QZS-2, QZS-3, QZS-4 and QZS-1R
Remarks:
-PNT service during applying is shown in the table below.
-Other services (SLAS, CLAS, MADOCA-PPP, DC Report, Q-ANPI, SBAS, PTV and SAS) are available during applying.
-This applying has no impact on existing GNSS receiver.
-After the completion of this work, the reference coordinate system of the broadcast ephemeris and public archive data provided by PNT service will be aligned with ITRF2020.

Schedule for changes in the transmission patterns of navigation messages (added on November 9)

We would like to inform you in advance that we are planning to change the transmission patterns of navigation messages for L1C/A, L1C, and L5 signals in mid-December 2023 for the test transmission of QZSS signal authentication data scheduled in January 2024. Please see below for details.

- The transmission pattern after this change will follow the maximum transmission interval specified in IS-QZSS-PNT-005.
- PNT services are available even during this work.
- From the completion of this work until the start of QZSS signal authentication data test transmission (scheduled for January 2024), the test mode data defined in IS-QZSS-PNT-005 will be set for the slots for signal authentication data.
