Update the User Interface Specification (IS-QZSS-L6) for CLAS and CLAS test library, CLASLIB, and the Test Transmission from QZS-3

Jun.13,2025
National Space Policy Secretariat, Cabinet Office

Cabinet Office is now developing to increase the number of augmented satellites in CLAS for service improvement. This upgrade is planned to start during this year.

We had released the sixth version of the User Interface Specification (IS-QZSS-L6) for this upgrade, but we have revised some contents based on the development status and the draft of the seventh version (IS-QZSS-L6-007-Draft) has been posted.

For this revise of IS-QZSS-L6, version 0.8.2 of CLASLIB is also now available. Please see below for download and terms of use.

Prior to the launch of this service upgrade, we will conduct the test transmission as follows.
- Period : June 30, 2025 - July 14, 2025
- Format : In accordance with IS-QZSS-L6-007-Draft
- Satellites : QZS-3
- Signal : L6D

Note:
- An alert flag is set on the signal for test transmission.
- There will be no impact on existing receivers.
- Transmission pattern will be pattern 2. By combining the L6D signal from Q3 with the other QZSs, CLAS service upgrade with increased the number of augmented satellites can be confirmed.
- The test transmission may be cancelled or interrupted depending on circumstances.
