The Quasi-Zenith Satellite System is working on the development of a "Signal Authentication Service (Navigation Message Authentication)" to provide a mechanism for verifying the authenticity of positioning signals and is scheduled to launch the service in fiscal 2024.

We would like to inform you that the temporary suspension of test transmission of signal authentication data announced on December 15, 2023, has been resumed as follows.

1. GNSS Signal Authentication (resumption)
  -Satellites : QZS-2, QZS-3, QZS-4, QZS-1R
    -Signal : L6E
    -Authentication target : GPS L1C/A, L1C, L5, Galileo E1B, E5a
 
2. QZSS Signal Authentication (start)
  -Satellites : QZS-2, QZS-3, QZS-4, QZS-1R
    -Signal : L1C/A, L1C, L5
    -Authentication target : QZSS L1C/A, L1C, L5 

Note:
-There will be no impact on existing receivers and other QZSS services after the QZSS signal authentication test transmission.
