Announcement of the signal switching for PNT service on QZS-1R

This announcement notifies that the signal of LNAV message of PNT service transmitted by QZS-1R will be switched from L1C/A to L1C/B. During this transition, the service outage will be occurred due to the ongoing work.

Affected Signals: L1C/A (L1C/B), L1C, L2C and L5
Suspension Period: 9:00 JST on August 6, 2025 - 9:00 JST on August 11, 2025
Satellite: QZS-1R
Remarks:
- The scheduled service outage will also be notified on NAQU.
- During this service outage, the messages with the Alert-on or Health-bad (Default Message) will be transmitted. And during the signal switching work, L1C/A (L1C/B) signal and L1C signal will be temporarily stopped.
- During this work, the almanacs of all QZS satellites will be transmitted from QZS-1R, but the almanac of QZS-1R will not be transmitted from the other QZS satellites.
- The Positioning Augmentation Services (SLAS, CLAS, MADOCA-PPP) and Satellite Report for Disaster and Crisis Management Service (DC Report) are available during this work.
- Regarding the Navigation Message Authentication Service (QZNMA), GNSS Message Authentication using L6E is available, but QZSS Signal Authentication is unavailable due to the suspension of PNT service.
- For the Positioning Technology Verification Service (PTV), there is a period when L5S signal is unavailable due to the other work. Please refer to the following notice for details.

- The PRN number assigned to the signal of LNAV message transmitted by QZS-1R will be switched from 196 to 203.
