The Test Transmission of MADOCA-PPP

Cabinet Office is now developing a new augmentation service named MADOCA-PPP (Multi-GNSS ADvanced Orbit and Clock Augmentation - Precise Point Positioning). This service will realize Precise Point Positioning (PPP) in Asia-Oceania region by providing GNSS augmentation data via QZSS satellites.

The experimental signal for MADOCA-PPP has been transmitted so far, but trial service is scheduled to begin on September 30, 2022 with revising the specification in preparation for the start of operational service in FY2024.

Prior to the start of the trial service, we would like to announce that test transmission of MADOCA-PPP from the QZSS satellites is planned on the following schedule.

　Period: 2022/08/18 8:00 (UTC)～2022/08/31 23:59 (UTC) (Times are approximate. )
　Format: In accordance with IS-QZSS-MDC
　　　　　　*Alert Flag: OFF (normal)
　　　　　　*QZNMA message is set to an invalid value.
　Signal: L6E
　Satellites: QZS-1R (PRN Code :206)
　　　　　　QZS-2 (PRN Code :204)
　　　　　　QZS-3 (PRN Code :209)
　　　　　　QZS-4 (PRN Code :205)
　Note:

The current MADOCA-PPP (experimental signal) will not be available during the test transmission.
The test transmission data has been tuned and can be used for PPP positioning.
The test transmission may be cancelled or interrupted depending on circumstances.
In the event of cancellation or interruption of test transmission, we will inform you in advance.
