Preparation Status of QZS-6

QZS-6, launched on February 2, 2025, is currently undergoing parameter tuning and confirmation to start its services. After this work is completed, we plan to start services in the middle or end of July 2025. Except only SBAS Transmission Service to be around the end of August.
The official date and time of the services launch will be announced later as it is determined.


Overview of QZS-6 Services

1. Satellite Positioning, Navigation and Timing Service (PNT)
- Signals: L1C/B, L1C, L5

2. Multi-GNSS Advanced Orbit and Clock Augmentation Precise Point Positioning (MADOCA-PPP)
- Signals: L6E, L6D

3. SBAS Transmission Service
- Signals: L1Sb

4. Signal Authentication Service (QZNMA)
- Signals: L1C/B, L1C, L5
- Signals: L6E (Delivering authentication data for GPS (L1C/A, L1C, L5) and Galileo (E5a, E1b))

5. Positioning Technology Verification Service
- Signal; L5S


Supplement:
- After QZS-6 is operational, QZS-1R will start L1C/B transmitting and suspend L1C/A signals.
- Depending on the state of preparation, the schedule might be changed.
