Start of signal authentication service

We would like to inform you that the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System will start the "Signal Authentication Service (Navigation Message Authentication)" which provides a mechanism to verify the authenticity of positioning signals as follows.

Start date ：April 1, 2024
Format ：In accordance with IS-QZSS-SAS-001

1. GNSS Signal Authentication
  -Satellites : QZS-2, QZS-3, QZS-4, QZS-1R
    -Signal : L6E
    -Authentication target : GPS L1C/A, L1C, L5, Galileo E1B, E5a
 
2. QZSS Signal Authentication
  -Satellites : QZS-2, QZS-3, QZS-4, QZS-1R
    -Signal : L1C/A, L1C, L5
    -Authentication target : QZSS L1C/A, L1C, L5 
Note:
  • IS-QZSS-SAS-001 is scheduled to be released soon.
  • A public key is required to use the service.
  • If you would like to obtain a public key, please apply according to the application method published on this site at a later date.
  • Please note that this may change due to circumstances.
