This OCXO (high-precision crystal oscillator) equipped, high sensitivity Multi-GNSS Disciplined Oscillator continuously outputs a highly accurate and stable 1PPS (pulse per second) synchronized with UTC time as well as a highly stable frequency coherent to 1PPS. Even if GNSS signals are cut off and positioning cannot be accomplished (holdover state), it can maintain output of a high-precision time pulse and highly stable frequency. It has low phase noise and the highest timing precision among the GF-87 series (GF-8701 – GF-8705). Even in holdover, it boasts time pulse performance of 1.5μs/24 hours, the highest class in the world. It can receive concurrent GPS, GLONASS, and SBAS signals and also supports Quasi-Zenith Satellites (“Michibiki”). Users can choose between two positioning modes: Time Only (Position-hold) Mode, which will output time pulse (1PPS) and frequency even if only one GNSS satellite signal is received, and Navigation Mode to be used in moving vehicle applications. Other functions include the Antenna Connection Status Check Function, Antenna Power Supply Function, and Backup Power Supply. Moreover, it enables synchronizing to time pulse from an external source other than GNSS, as well as arbitrary frequency output other than the standard frequency. GF-8705 is suitable not only for wireless communication, network communication, and Grandmaster clock for multimedia broadcast, but also as an atomic oscillator replacement.
