This is Citizen’s latest GPS satellite radio watch model. It doesn’t just display the time according to Quasi-Zenith Satellite (Michibiki) and GPS signals, but can also determine the user’s time zone from position information to display the local time. It supports a total of 40 time zones across the world including 27 major cities, and is able to receive time information in as little as three seconds (the fastest speed in the world at the time of the announcement according to a survey by Citizen). This watch is operated by converting sunlight, and even small amounts of light in a room, into energy. The excess energy is stored on a rechargeable battery using Citizen Eco-Drive technology; the battery has a lifespan of approximately five years (in Power Save Mode).
