GPS IIF-11 satellite was successfully launched on an Atlas V rocket
GPS IIF-11, the eleventh satellite in the GPS IIF series that will consist of 12 satellites, was launched on an Atlas V rocket at 12:13 on October 31 local time (1:13 on November 1 JST) from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, the United States. The satellite was successfully put on its planned orbit, a medium earth orbit (MEO) of 20,459 kilometers with an orbital inclination of 55 degrees.
GPS IIF-12, the last satellite of this series, will also be launched on an Atlas V rocket in early February of next year. It is currently waiting for final preparations.
