Sep.27,2017
National Space Policy Secretariat, Cabinet Office

As guided on September 15, 2017, Trial Services started for the following services using QZS-2.

  • Satellite Positioning, Navigation and Timing Service (PNT)
  • Centi-meter Level Augmentation Service (CLAS)

Trial service of Centi-meter Level Augmentation Service starts from today using QZS-1.

Until now, Centi-meter Level Augmentation Service has been providing and broadcasting augmentation information that is available in whole coverage area of QZSS to the verification users. From now on, the trial services will offer service with the same performance as the operation starting in FY2018 (*), because the adjustment for the function cooperating with domestic reference station network for the rapid acquisition of centi-meter level accuracy has been finished. In addition, IS-QZSS-L6 is updated on this web.

(*)Centi-meter Level Augmentation information trial service starts to broadcast augmentation information for the following GNSS signals shown on this website’s Performance Standard (PS-QZSS), 6.1 clause.
QZSS:L1 C/A, L2C
GPS:L1 C/A, L2P

About Centi-meter Level Augmentation information using other signals, it is planned to be broadcast after the confirmation is completed about CLAS performance depending on GNSS constellation status and the correspondence to GNSS of GEONET. Notice will be posted on this website about the start date of that service and other issues.
